Volunteer named Barbara noticed me of the nest. It appeared that she first came in and bumped into a lot of wooden debris and decided not to nest there. She rethought it and came in again right next to her original path and with no debris in the way nested and left. First one of the season in RM. No visible eggs left but lots and lots of spray

Eclusion was observed at 5:54 am by a local resident named Waleska who used to volunteer with Francisco. By the time Ashley arrived it appeared that they had not left the column but could begin to exit at 8:30am. We consulted and thought best success was to collect the babies and stop digging until the first egg was found. In total Ashley gave Geoff and I 53 babies at 10am. We released them back at the original nest between 6:40 and 7pm with a wonderful group of people exicted to be a part of the release.

This nest was closed 4 days post exit, when digging, a live baby was found in the column and released when the nest closing job was finished. Interesting finds include a fertilized egg with 2 sets of eyes in early stages of development.
